The Juicy bit

E4 have a new show set to hit our TV screens this following October (If all goes to plan and the dates don’t change)

What is this amazing new show I hear you ask?

Well as the title above suggests it’s called DRIFTERS, written by and starring Jessica Knappett (known for her role as Lisa in the inbetweeners movie). Drifters is a witty and fast paced show which I would say is on par with comedy styling of shows such as the inbetweeners and Miranda.

The show is based around a group of 3 girlfriends Meg, Bunny and Laura who’s time at university has come to an end and they have now moved back home to try and make their way in the working world.

The hitch – it is not that easy as they find themselves taking on meaningless jobs just to make ends meet of course throughout the show there are comical moments that ensue as well as relationships that evolve as we watch our 3 girl grow as characters and develop along the way.

Exclusiveness

I was lucky enough to see the pilot and go on the set during one of the final days of shooting and I can assure you that the chemistry that we see on screen is just as real and amazing in reality. The cast and crew are all on the top of their game I even got a few minutes to meet and chat with Jessica herself (who is by the way a genuinely lovely person) when I informed her of what hit series I compared Drifters to she seemed delighted and took it as a compliment (we also briefly discussed how she’s a fan of made in Chelsea but let’s just leave that be and get back to her show) After meeting her I can say without a doubt if this show is as big of a hit that I predict it will be that Jessica thoroughly deserves it.

As well as Jessica I also got a brief conversation with the producer (Sam Pinnell) who informed me of how hard the entire cast and crew has been working (which shows in the final material)

To finish of I have to say that I cannot wait for Drifters to air. In fact I can’t for the inevitable season 2!

So Guys keep an eye for the adverts and remember the name DRIFTERS it bound to be one of E4s biggest home grown hits to date.

The Last and Final Series of SKINS

So it is here Monday 1st July on E4

Which if you ask me should have been here 2 series ago it’s the last series of the popular teen drama SKINS.

Instead of following a new group of friends making their way through college we are re-introduced to 3 of our old favourite’s characters from the past and how they are now making their way through adult life. (we also meet other old characters who make smaller appearances)

The series is 6 episodes long with which is split in 2 episodes per story
Skins Fire - Effys story

Skins Rise - Cooks story

Skins Pure - Cassie's story

Since being connected with E4 through being and E4er I have had the honour of being sent sneak peeks of shows before they have been sent to air and with the final series of E4 favourite it is no different I have been sent the first episode which I have watched before it the rest of the country. This Entry is to explain what I thought of it and why I think you should tune in on Monday night

The first two episodes revolve around Effy’s story and what she is now doing and without giving away the details the first episode was great but nothing like I was expecting. Since I have seen every series of skins and am of the firm belief that each series was worse than the last. Although this first episode was not that bad in fact it was really good the episode has been stripped back to its roots with all elements that made skins the great show it was in the first place and at the same time adding new and more grown up elements this mixture of new and old is what make the first episode of the final series un-expectantly brilliant and I hope the rest of the series doesn’t disappoint.

Dont trust the Bitch in Apartment 23

Don’t Trust the B---- In Apartment 23

Ok first of all let’s get this straight the above may be how the networks write the title of the show but here it’s going to be referred to as what it should always be called…

Don’t Trust the BITCH in Apartment 23

Premise of the show

Well basically poor unfortunate June move to the big City of new to find that her dream job at her dream company along with the supplied apartment have all been taken away from her because the company has gone into melt down due to it ripping people of . So to cut a long story short June needs to find a new job but more importantly A NEW APARTMENT introducing us to Chloe. June falls in love with Chloe thinking she is just like her and best friends with James Van Der Beek. However June could not be more wrong about Chloe who turns to be (am guessing you’ve figured out by now) THE BITCH IN APARTMENT 23. The show then goes on to follow the relationships/Tasks that the characters have to carry out during their life’s throughout the series.

Characters

Chloe McGruff (Played by Krysten Ritter). Is our very own Bitch in Apartment 23. In short she is an amoral and shameless con artist, party girl, and swindler. Who firstly tries to Con June but eventually come to like her. She works by providing "entertainment" to diplomats at the United Nations. (Also my favourite Character)

June Colburn (Played by Dreama Walker). Is our main who moves to New York (from Indiana) to discover she needs to find a new Apartment and ends up moving in with Chloe. Once discovering what Chloe’s like she tries to better her life and make her a bit more Human. She currently works as a barista at a local coffee shop.

James Van Der Beek (Played by himself) Is a more fictionalized version of himself, the former TV star of Dawson's Creek, He is Chloe's best friend and desperate to revamp his sagging acting career.

Robin (Played by Liza Lapira) Is Chloe’s Obsessed neighbor and former roommate who Chloe obviously screwed over. She works as a nurse at a local hospital.

Eli Webber (Played by Michael Blaiklock) Is Chloe’s peeping-tom next-door neighbor who Chloe allow to spy on/contact them through a window across an alleyway. He works as a city health inspector.

Mark Reynolds (played by Eric Andre) Is Junes now Junes manager at the coffee shop and who would have been June's supervisor at the mortgage company.

My personal view

I can easily sum this up I LOVE THIS SHOW its great I like to think it takes a little bit of a twist on the normal sitcom that we have become used to seeing. The main aspect of this show the bit that draws me and I’d like to think most people is mainly one thing CHLOE as a viewer you are dying to see what she does next What is her next scheme, con or scam what moral is she going to throw out the window this time. These are also the reason why you should all go and watch it NOW ….. or when you have the time

On a side note the show has finished airing its first season in the US and the UK and there are only 7 episode’s but fear not it has been renewed for a second series and the rest of the episode of the first season have been attached to the beginning to the second so YAY for that

You Need To Get Watching

Right I’ve Decided that enough is enough I am no longer going to ignore this blog and start off my new revamp im going to talk about Favourite new show all the way over from America:

2 Broke Girls

That’s right Ladies and gentlemen 2 Broke Girls which of course ONLY HAS 3 EPISODES LEFT IN AMERICA but luckily for us in Britain its only just coming up to its first episode on E4 (Thursday nights at 9:00 or repeated on Sunday at 11:00 for those who are interested)

The synopsis

The show is based around Max (played by Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Played by Beth Behrs). Max is someone who has never had much luck in life and never had much money and has always managed to scrape through. Caroline on the other hand is heiress whose fortune has been frozen by the government since her dad was involved in a Ponzi scheme in which he was stealing money from the city of new York so with her money frozen, her dad in prison and now homeless she has no other choice to get a job so what does she do she gets a job in a Brooklyn diner where here upper eastside friends will not find her. This where she runs into Max who works as a dinner as one of her Two jobs Max also makes and sells her cupcakes which she sells at the diner Caroline sees a business venture to start up cupcake business between her and Max so the series sets of to forge their friendship and the tasks the have to do to raise their money to start the business and at the end of each episode we see their total tally of how much they’ve raised so far

The Cast

The characters in the show grow and develop and you just fall in love with them more and more as the series goes on

Kat Dennings - Max Black

Beth Behrs - Caroline Channing

Matthew Moy - Han Lee

Jennifer Coolidge - Sophie Kerchinsky

Brooke Lyons - Peach Landis

Nick Zano – Johnny

My overall view

Im giving it a rating of 5 out of 5

I love this show its AMAIZING (and yes I’m biased because im in love Kat Dennings) but the humor and the characters and the writing is right up my street no topic is left unturned they will make a joke about anything and as the series goes which Britain will soon see the writers figure out what works and narrow down on it and make they show even better than it was when it started so yer overall I LOVE IT and you should watch it !

E4ers Noel Fieldings Luxury comedy

OK I know its been a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time and tbh i just could be arsed to write anything new but now I have a duty as a E4er to spread the word im going to do exactly that

so here's the start

TOMORROW NIGHT 10PM E4 BE THERE

WHY?

Well because its the pilot episode of NOEL FIELDINGS LUXURY COMEDY which i must say beeing a fielding fan myself is absolutly amaizing for certian reasons

1) if you liked the mighty boosh your bound to like this once again mr fielding has taken something so strange and unordinary and moulded it into something that is absolutly fantastic and funny its so far away for the boosh but at the same time so similar its incredible

2) The shows desighn at the risk of overusing this word is fantastic it's like a like comic book using reall people its just outstanding

3) the last reason which i believe doesnt need a explanation is that its made by Noel Fielding whose a master of surreal comedy
